Emily’s Symphony in Color Award
Mar 29th, 2008 by Tom
It is a proud time in the Krohn house. Emily is a top 100 finalist of the Indiana Symphony in Color competition. The competition involves 29,000 Indiana students from 1-6 grade in an art competition where the students create an art drawing of what they heard in Beethoven’s Allegro Moderato from Piano Concerto No. 4, Opus 58.
Emily made the local Indy paper twice, first when it was announced she was a finalist, then second after her interview. A select group of of students, including Emily, were interviewed by the Indiana State Museam Curator with the video available on the IndyStar.com multimedia page. I’ve uploaded the video to YouTube and you can see the full series of interviews here, or Emily’s interview below. Our SmugMug photo site has additional photos and scans of the newspaper articles.
Please join us in congratulating Emily!
