\n\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t Emily continues to impress us with her writing.\u00a0\u00a0 Her 4th grade class is ready a civil war book entitled “Captured, A Boy Trapped in the Civil War” by Mary Blair Immel.\u00a0 For an assignment she had to chose a photo in the book and write a one page journal entry as if she were the main character in the book.\u00a0 The picture on the left is the photo.\u00a0 Here is the text of her journal entry.<\/p>\n\n
Dear Journal,<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n As I sit here I imagine the future war.\u00a0 Roche beside me is pondering about his family back home and how they are doing.\u00a0 I too hope Sissy and Tag and Ma are doing fine.\u00a0 I bet Ma is making them split my chores.\u00a0 Tag now probably is un-Tag. <\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n The air is of fear on disturbence about each others lives.\u00a0 As we all watch the campsite, I take note that the air is chilly as if the wind itself could smell fear.\u00a0 The leaves danced dead on the campground, though no joy was shed upon the sight.\u00a0 I feal a resemblance and relationship between Roche ‘n I, with both of our fathers having being passed away.\u00a0 For I have read books about friends saving each other’s lives.\u00a0 This “Relationship” may come in hand.\u00a0 Sadly, I believe that Williams isn’t so much feeling good at all.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
