The girls were in their glory with their matching dresses that Melissa had prearranged.<\/p>\n<p>We had a special dinner at a nearby Italian restaurant, then headed over to the dance.\u00a0 It was packed with 100+ father\/daughter pairs.\u00a0 What a treat to see that many fathers dedicate an evening to their young girl(s) between the ages of 5 &#8211; 10.<\/p>\n<p>It was a fun evening with a DJ who kept the music flowing for almost 2 hours.\u00a0 It was a mix of classics for the dads and current pop hits for the girls.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/takmad.smugmug.com\/photos\/473999378_QoUMk-S-2.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: left;\" src=\"http:\/\/takmad.smugmug.com\/photos\/478922880_dCWfo-S.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"95\" \/><\/a>Imagine <em>YMCA<\/em> and <em>You Make Me Want to Shout<\/em> mixed between the latest from Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers.\u00a0 The dads taught the girls some moves (&#8220;Y-M-C-A&#8221;) and the girls taught the dad&#8217;s some moves (<em>Macarena<\/em>).\u00a0 A night to remember and cherish.<\/p>\n<p>You can see more photos on our <a href=\"http:\/\/takmad.smugmug.com\/gallery\/7362991_szfN6#473998990_ekj3e\" target=\"_blank\">SmugMug site<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It was a big day in the Krohn house with the first annual (for us) Father Daughter Dance.\u00a0 Emily got all dressed up for her date, complete with mom&#8217;s help on curling her hair for the big night out.\u00a0 Emily and I &#8220;double-dated&#8221; with her best friend, next door neighbor Sarah Kate and her dad.
