{"id":499,"date":"2009-09-06T23:32:05","date_gmt":"2009-09-07T03:32:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thomaskrohn.com\/family\/wordpress\/?p=499"},"modified":"2009-09-08T12:39:38","modified_gmt":"2009-09-08T16:39:38","slug":"mia-krohns-birthday-pittsburgh-road-trip","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.thomaskrohn.com\/family\/wordpress\/2009\/09\/06\/mia-krohns-birthday-pittsburgh-road-trip\/","title":{"rendered":"Mia Krohn&#8217;s Birthday &#8211; Pittsburgh Road Trip"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mia Krohn, Uncle Kelly&#8217;s daughter, <a href=\"http:\/\/takmad.smugmug.com\/gallery\/9305395_xtFwf#641470952_vxunH\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: right;\" src=\"http:\/\/takmad.smugmug.com\/photos\/641470952_vxunH-S.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"107\" height=\"160\" \/><\/a>turned 11 a few weeks ago.\u00a0We decided to make it a weekend road-trip to Pittsburgh leaving Friday afternoon and coming home late Sunday.\u00a0 We were blessed with beautiful weather which made for a great time at the pool and riding our bikes.\u00a0 The cousins &#8211; our 3 plus Mia and Shane &#8211; get along so well.\u00a0 Mia and Emily are less than a year apart and very similar in personality.\u00a0 Both are bright, artistic and enjoy the simplicity of the moment.\u00a0 The boys&#8230;.well, they&#8217;re just boys.\u00a0 Within minutes of visiting Shane&#8217;s room we had battles and swords clashing around the house.\u00a0 The girls were more interested in comparing rooms and ideas for Emily&#8217;s new loft bed.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/takmad.smugmug.com\/gallery\/9305395_xtFwf#621914686_boUWh\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: left;\" src=\"http:\/\/takmad.smugmug.com\/photos\/621914686_boUWh-S.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"166\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Saturday morning we started the day off with homemade pancakes by Uncle Kelly &#8211; just like our tradition back home.\u00a0 After a slow and relaxing start, we headed to the neighborhood pool and enjoyed the perfect weather and cool water.\u00a0 The kids had a great time with Mia leading the &#8220;pirate&#8221; game similar to &#8220;Simon Says&#8221;.
