She will always be my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thomaskrohn.com\/video\/wordpress\/?p=119\" target=\"_blank\">little sunshine<\/a>. It has been 2 or more years since Emily has talked about painting her room.\u00a0 Patiently she waited as other projects took priority.\u00a0 Now it was her turn.\u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: right;\" src=\"http:\/\/takmad.smugmug.com\/photos\/642678709_m7f2Q-S.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100\" height=\"150\" \/>After 3 or 4 trips to Home Depot for color swatches, she picked out her 2 colors: lime green and light blue.\u00a0 They matched her new bedspread and would give the room her own unique, young-girl look.\u00a0 We worked together most of the time, from painting to removing the carpet to setting up the new loft bed.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: left;\" src=\"http:\/\/takmad.smugmug.com\/photos\/642679138_omhWc-S.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"133\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Her brothers helped a bit too and are already thinking about their room makeover&#8230;!\u00a0\u00a0 There are a <a href=\"http:\/\/takmad.smugmug.com\/Children\/Emily\/Emilys-Room-Extreme-Makeover\/9557228_9qoVu#642676422_jhfVA\" target=\"_blank\">number of pictures<\/a> of before and after on our SmugMug site.\u00a0\u00a0 I&#8217;ve also put together a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thomaskrohn.com\/video\/wordpress\/?p=231\" target=\"_blank\">short video<\/a> as we worked through the stages of the &#8220;extreme makeover&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>(The pic on the left of little brother, Josh, peaking in on his big sister&#8217;s new room is a common view at our house these days).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My little girl is growing up.
