Emily, our budding author

Emily continues to impress us with her writing.   Her 4th grade class is ready a civil war book entitled “Captured, A Boy Trapped in the Civil War” by Mary Blair Immel.  For an assignment she had to chose a photo in the book and write a one page journal entry as if she were the […]

A snow day today.  School cancelled.  Roads blocked and 12 inches of snow on the ground.  Even dad got to stay at home and work from his office.  The kids were dressed and ready to go outside – even before they had breakfast.  Ahhh, if it were only that easy on school days. Our cul-de-sac […]

Old Movies

I have used a little bit of this week to convert some old movies into digital form.  You can see two classics in our video section: one of Emily singing when she was three and another of Jumpin’ Josh.

Fall Leaves

Fall has come and the trees are beautiful with their many colors.  We are blessed with a backyard outlined in maple trees.  Check out some some photos of our red maple leaves.  The kids love the leaves, from making the big piles to jumping on the trampoline.  More kids fun photos can be seen on […]
